here's another food trip adventure!! there are lotsa places to check out here at eastwood (that's why i like our office area), and they keep on coming, hehehe.. i found another japanese resto in eastwood veranda and baby had no other choice but to come, haha.. this is partly-owned by marvin agustin (yung dating partner ni jolens).. no harm in trying coz i've been to kimono ken which he owns (fyi: this is his 7th resto)..
this resto is a euro-japanese fusion cuisine with a twist, i've seen that in their menu (meron pa ngang ala kill bill type), and it took me more than 5 mins to pick what to order (ang daming choices).. its part of the sumo sam chain (there's one located in shangrila). i also love the decors, its dark purple with black and the drapes are red. loved the ceiling too!!
for starters, we had crunchy tuna roll (in its raw form) and its kinda spicy but good (in fairness, nakayanan ko yung anghang). the last time i ate raw tuna was when i joined with dad to meet up with his friend, tito lando. the drinks at the side aren't alcohol drinks but teas, hehe.. they have 3 colors; green, blue and red with flavors of lime, dalandan and lemon (i think, di me sure) and its bottomless..
i chose cream dory (i love this fish back in dubai) with bacon and yanyan had the kebab like sampler (next time i'll double check the names), hehe.. yanyan also limits himself for 1 cup of steamed rice coz his tummy gets big, hahaha.. and sometimes i don't finish mine.. the place is cozy and the waitresses are wearing leopard prints ala roberto cavalli. the ventilation is nice coz its strikingly hot outside and i even have to wear my denim jacket coz of the cold hehehe..
the dessert choice was not so good option for us, coz the brownies is too sweet then you add ice cream plus caramel on top. we should've selected milkshakes instead like the kid on the other table is enjoying, hehe.. overall, the experience we received here was nice and i didn't have to raise my hand just to get another glass of tea.. they're attentive to their customers and that's a good service!!
